To be the community organization of choice among young people in Mt. Airy and the surrounding area.

Our Mission

To provide young people in and around Mt. Airy the opportunity to develop personal and leadership skills through local community service and organizational involvement while expanding the Junior Chamber movement.

What are the Jaycees?

The Mt. Airy Junior Chamber is a group of young men and women of diverse backgrounds who, through community involvement, are able to realize goals of personal growth and leadership training.

Hello and welcome to the online home of the Mt. Airy Jaycees! If you're visiting for the first time, please take a few minutes to review the different areas of our websiteget to know us! The Junior Chamber of Commerce is the organization of choice for young adults aged 21 - 40. As an active civic organization in Mt. Airy we provide outstanding leadership training in ways that give back to our community. been to our annual Yard Sale or to our Town Clean Up's. These are events sponsored, coordinated and run completely by the Mt. Airy Jaycees. Monies that we earn throughout the year go on to provide funding our sponsoring of a FCLL youth baseball team, local Boy Scouts, providing food and other items to the needy in our community and an annual Easter Egg Hunt and Halloween parade.

As the rest of the world has changed in recent months, so has the Jaycees. We are recommitted to providing Mt. Airy with our time, fundraising efforts and community spirit. Chances are very good that you have been touched in some way by this organization. If you are between the ages of 21 and 40, want to gain valuable skills that will ultimately benefit your career and personal life while providing positive support for your communitycome visit us at our monthly membership meetings. The Jaycees offer a threefold benefit to its members:

Individual Development
Jaycees are helped to realize their personal potential in such areas as goal setting, leadership skills, human relations and public speaking
Management Development
Offers Jaycees opportunities to study and develop actual skills in personal management, financial management, planning and organization
Community Development
Jaycees benefit the comunity through service projects initiated and carried out by chapter members such as Spring and Fall Yard Sale, Town cleanups, Annual Easter Egg Hunt, Baby Photo Contest for Local Charities, Halloween Parade, helping needy people in our community during the Holidays and many more.
